CCCB LAB is the department at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB) that focuses on research, change and innovation in the cultural sphere. Our goal is to explore and propose new areas of content and forms of public exhibition that are in tune with today’s social and cultural context, so that they can be developed and implemented by the CCCB. We regularly publish ideas and reports in the Blog about the themes and projects we are working on: Expanded Education, Open Science, Virtual Scenes, New Formats and Audiences.

We want to share what we learn, and learn from what others do: the group is more intelligent than each of its members. Which is why we disseminate our research and praxis, particularly in the areas of cultural innovation, network creation and consolidation, and learning and design relating to participatory processes or the future of archives. Our Blog has always worked to promote open, distributed culture, that’s why we try to publish most of the texts in CC licenses, translate everything into 3 languages (Catalan, Spanish and English) and receive around 2000 visits a week from all over the world.
