The Broad’s mobile app is conceived as a one-stop shop for visitors to The Broad, it includes a comprehensive collections-in-app, (the whole collection as well as on view now) plus 4 audiotours, wayfinding, and integration with the user’s ticketing account, allowing them to access their reservations from within the app itself. Bluetooth beacons throughout the museum notify guests when they are near a tour stop.

Future planned improvements include allowing ticket reservations directly in-app, introducing more context- and location-aware features, and allowing visitors to shape their own experience. Improvements to tour navigation, overall usability, and app take-up are also needed, however the correct design and plan for those needs is still very much to be determined.
